I have to say receiving a transfusion is up there with THE WEIRDEST experiences. I am VERY grateful for the care and the medicines. Four hours for the blood, thirty minutes for the chemo. Took a four hour nap this afternoon! On Friday my HB was 8.6, HCT 26.7, and RDW-CV 18 (all not in range) so the blood was GREAT. I did the happy dance - no chemo this coming Saturday - then a CA125 with blood work the next Saturday with chemo. I fully comprehended "quiet" after this chemo.
